Welcome to Burton Waters Boat Training - Building Confidence on the Water
Burton Waters Marina RYA recognised training centre based near Lincoln. There is access to over 220 nautical miles of navigable inland waters including the tidal sections of the Trent & Ouse. The Wash and North Sea are accessible from our marina opening up coastal possibilities for training and flotilla trips.
We have no less than 40 years boating experience on inland and coastal waters. We are dedicated to building confidence and ability through high quality, professional training that reinforces safe boating and enjoyable practices . We aim to guide and augment your boating skills to build your confidence, knowledge, experience and enjoyment of your time on the water.
Burton Waters Boat Training can provide tuition on and off the water and will style training to your abilities and requirements. RYA certificated courses follow the syllabi set out for each course and elements are used for tailored training sessions. If you would like to hone a certain skill - for instance stern on mooring, holding off, mooring alongside or familiarisation of a new craft.
We are always available to speak to and offer advice before and onwards after your training. Training is available on one of our centre boats - a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795, Beneteau Antares 760 and a twin engined Merry Fisher 895 or on your own craft. Powerboat is only offered on our vessel.
We also offer skippered movement by water of a vessel, accompanied tidal passages, guided tidal flotillas and advice on boating and all aspects of practical boat handling.
